Day 18: ‘A friend of mine died in a suspected murder yesterday… the BBC said the incident was not being treated as coronavirus-related.’

This man’s death was not Coronavirus-related according to reporters

Has the media become so obsessed with C-19 that they don’t believe people die from anything else anymore?

An old friend of mine died in a suspected murder yesterday and how did the BBC end the article?

“Chief Constable Nick Adderley said the incident was not being treated as coronavirus-related.”

Now the article has the Chief Constable of Northamptonshire saying this, but what’s the betting that it was because the journalist asked?

It appears to me that sensationalism and downright lazy journalism go hand-in-hand at present.

Amongst other things that need sorting out once this is all over, add journalist standards to the list.
